SAWCC is excited to introduce our next POWERhour! Luncheon Speaker, Rosemary Kowalski, Chairman Emeritus of The RK Group. A native San Antonian, Rosemary begain her career in a tiny barbecue restaurant called Uncle Ben's on North Zarzamora, which she and her husband purchased after World War II.
By 1961, "Catering by Rosemary" had become the official company name. In 1968, the company catered most of the official events of Hemisfair. The RK Group now under the ownership of Rosemary's son Greg Kowalski, is a full-service catering organization. The RK Group umbrella consists of 24 compnaies in San Antonio, Austin and Houston.
Rosemary believes excellence is not about meeting your customer's needs; it's about anticipating them and exceeding them. "Attitude is everything."
Currently, she is a board member of numerous organizations and sits on several advisory boards. She is involved with a new venture with SA Youth - "Rosemary's Kitchen", a Culinary Arts Program that teaches at-risk students between the ages of 16 and 24.
Registration and Networking will begin at 11:15am. Lunch will be served around 11:35am. The program will start at 12 noon and will adjourn at 1:00pm.
NOTE: Registrants who choose to pay at the door and then do not attend the event will be billed for the cost of the luncheon.
