Level 5 Leader Spotlight!
Featuring

Lila Cockrell and

and Henry Cisneros

Lila Cockrell - We invite you to come be inspired by the lifelong achievements of Mrs. Cockrell whom we believe has made a difference in our lives, and was recognized in 1985 nationally as such, with the award for Woman Who Made a Difference by the International Women's Forum.

As a part of  her very impressive resume', she held the position of San Antonio's first woman Mayor, from 1975 to 1981 and again from 1989 to 1991.  With her election as Mayor, Mrs. Cockrell became the first female Mayor of a major metropolitan area in the United States.  Mrs. Cockrell also served as a City Councilwoman from 1963 to 1970 and again from 1973 to 1975.

Ms. Cockrell currently serves as Co-Chairman of the San Antonio River Oversight Committee and National Trustee of the San Antonio Museum of Art, a Trustee of Southwest Research Institute, Honorary Life Member of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation and a member of the Texas Forum of the International Women's Forum.

Henry Cisneros -  We also welcome Mr. Cisneros, who is currently Executive Chairman of the CityView Companies, which works with urban homebuilders to create homes priced within the range of average families.

Mr. Cisneros served three terms as City Councilman before becoming Mayor of San Antonio in 1981.  During his four terms as Mayor, he helped rebuild the city's economic base and spurred the creation of jobs through massive infrastructure and downtown improvements.  In 1992, President Clinton appointed Mr. Cisneros to be Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Mr. Cisneros currently serves as Chairman of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation.  He is also currently a member of the advisory boards of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Teaching and Mentoring Communities and the National Hispanic University; in addition, he holds several other board positions throughout the community.

Presentation begins promptly at 10:15 am and concludes at 11:30 am.

This event is open to members only.
