June POWERhour!

Featuring

Sheriff Susan Pamerleau

Susan Pamerleau

The San Antonio Women's Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Sheriff Susan Pamerleau as our next POWERhour! Luncheon speaker.

Join us in an intimate setting to learn about how Sheriff Susan Pamerleau came to be a tenacious woman leader with a great passion to improve this division of law enforcement in our city and to serve and protect our citizens.

Susan had a strong foundation beginning with her parents who came from different backgrounds, both from hard-working, determined families who lived through The Great Depression and World War II. Her mother grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, where her parents owned a “mom and pop” grocery store near downtown.

After 32 years of service in the in the United States Air Force Susan rose to the ranking of Major General.  During her military career she mentored young people and served as a role model throughout her career.  After retiring she became the Vice President of USAA until 2007.  Prior to becoming Sheriff she worked
as an independent contractor providing consultant services for human resources planning and customer service.

Sherrif Pamerleau now serves as the chief law enforcement officer for the county and is responsible for all judicial support including security at the courthouse complex.  She oversees the operations of the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.  Sheriff Pamerleau was elected in November 2012, becoming the first woman elected to the post!

As Sheriff, she has pledged her commitment to the people of Bexar County, enacting guiding principles to ensure the Sheriff's Office is run professionally and with operational excellence.  Her number one priority is public safety, improvements in jail operations, and family violence prevention initiatives.

NOTE: Registrants who choose to pay at the door and then do not attend the event will be billed for the cost of the luncheon.
