As the philanthropic arm of the San Antonio Women’s Chamber of Commerce, the SAWCC Foundation champions nontraditional students, both women and men, who are pursuing higher education and striving to overcome barriers to success.

Our Mission
To promote educational advancement and give back to the community we serve by providing performance-based scholarships and support to nontraditional students in San Antonio.

Our Impact
Since its inception, the SAWCC Foundation has raised over $380,000, awarding scholarships and academic bonuses to 32 scholars, with 21 graduates to date – a testament to the power of targeted support and community-driven change.

Mayor Emeritus Lila Cockrell Scholarship
The Mayor Emeritus Lila Cockrell Scholarship, launched in 2019 with Alamo Colleges Foundation, supports full‑time students working toward associate degrees or certificates.
Rosemary Kowalski Scholarship
The Rosemary Kowalski Scholarship, established in 2023 in partnership with Texas A&M University–San Antonio, provides four-year degree support for students seeking a broader academic path.
